To avoid disappearing the tradition, the kimjang festival is held.
UNESCO listed kimjang as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
organizers of the festival hope to create a kimjang festival next year that includes not only South Korea but also North Korea.
They want to share the traditional food with Koreans in both countries.

I really like kimchi very much.
When I was giving birth to my second daughter in the hospital, there was this woman next to me brought some Kimchi and stored it in her fridge.
I’m kind of surprised because she’d been eating it for her breakfast, lunch and dinner, no doubt she’s a Korean.
Seeing that made me realized that Kimchi is an indispensable food for Koreans.
It’s like water for human life and miso or soy sauce for Japanese.
I’m hoping that people all over the world can enjoy eating Kimchi forever.
